Episode 25: Anthony McNamara – The Ringer with a reputation
Imagine this: you’re fresh out of high school in the city, and you manage to land a job on Newcastle Waters – one of the largest and most prestigious cattle stations in Australia. But… you don’t know where it is, or what even happens on a cattle station. You’ve definitely got no experience. Well, that’s ok, because there’s a two week induction training at the rural college in Katherine before you start work. So, sure – you’re already a little bit on the back foot, being the city kid with no experience – but nothing that can’t be overcome.
However, by the time you get off the bus from the rural college to the station, you’ve managed to get yourself a court date in town in a couple of weeks. Now, you have to tell the station manager – a man you’ve never met before.
