Episode 8: Hayley Goad – overcoming discrimination in the ag industry
Hayley Goad is the Office Administrator for Bettini Beef – a family owned business which manages 1 million hectares in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Don’t let her job title fool you though – she spends as much time out on the station as she does in the office!
In this episode, we sit down to discuss Hayley’s former life as one of the only female livestock agents in WA, and how she came to make a 1700km move from the south west up to the Pilbara. Hayley shares some invaluable advice about overcoming discrimination and set backs, and what she’s learnt along her journey so far.
