Host: BMC Consulting Written by – Blythe Calnan, Consultant, BMC Consulting. The Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS) can be confusing. It is a point of much discussion, and I find that even living, breathing, and working ESCAS for the last two years I can still end up in complex discussions on the finer points. […]
Host: BMC Consulting Written by – Blythe Calnan, Consultant, BMC Consulting. In the past few years I have had many conversations about live export with it’s supporters, those in opposition to it, and those in between. Many people question the culture of the people I work with, wondering why these people think being cruel to […]

Host: Southampton Written by – Kylie Savidge, Owner, Southampton Station. What will happen when it rains? Who knows how far away we are from drought breaking rain? Host: Southampton Written by – Kylie Savidge, Owner, Southampton Station. Every now and then we meet people who think that we are driven by our dollar line and don’t care for our livestock. We feel that they are so far removed from reality it isn’t even slightly amusing. Money does help but that isn’t why […]

Host: Southampton Written by – Kylie Savidge, Owner, Southampton Station. Acacia aneura or Mulga is part of the wattle family and grows rather well in our country. This tree is a life saver in dry times such as we are having and is known as a living haystack. Cattle do well on mulga as long […]
Host: Southampton Written by – Kylie Savidge, Owner, Southampton Station. February 2012 was the last water making or grass growing rain that we have received. Yes, there have been some falls of rain since then but none of them did much good, just enough to make a nice green pick grow and bring in a […]
